Anxiety and panic attacks do not have a clear source. It can show up in kids as well as in adults. It doesn’t favor one gender over the other. It can’t be predicted so all one could do is be ready at all times for that devastating intense fear to suddenly rush their mind and feelings. There’s a lot of uncertainty regarding anxiety, even when it comes to alternative solutions in curing it. Of course there are medications and therapy sessions to help one deal with panic attacks, but as far as natural cures for anxiety goes, the legitimate options are still limited.

Research

Researchers have explored numerous natural cures for anxiety as a means to deal with this condition without the use of traditional medications and lengthy therapy sessions. Not all of these studies have proven successful in providing an alternative solution in treating anxiety, but there are a couple of ways that show potential in successfully curing anxiety beyond what we are all used to. From therapies and natural medications, experts have narrowed down the choices to two effective methods in dealing with anxiety.

Inositol

Inositol is a nutritional supplement taken orally. This nutritional supplement influences the actions of serotonin, a chemical in our bodies that dictate mood and behavior. Keeping the actions of serotonin under control, Inositol effectively poses a solution in reducing the frequency and even the severity of panic attacks. This supplement has been proven safe but it is always a good idea to consult your doctor first before taking any natural medication. Make sure that you can take it whether you are taking other medications or not.

Relaxation Training

Natural cures for anxiety goes beyond taking in natural remedies. It also covers relaxation techniques that will not cost you a cent. Relaxation training may involve deep breathing, meditation, muscle relaxation and yoga. Progressive muscle relaxation is specifically seen as very effective as it requires you to tense one muscle at a time then relaxing it, which will in turn completely release the tension in that muscle. This relaxes your body, minimizing the chances of panic attacks.

As with Inositol, you shold also consult your doctor before taking on a regular relaxation training schedule. Natural cures for anxiety may come cheap and generally safe, but it may interact with other treatments you are trying and may cause harmful side effects. Asking your doctor first before doing something new is always a good idea.
